Hi ! And welcome! ‘Chibi & Esme’ is a space mostly dedicated to the luv for books; we sell them, make them and have a small section of books which are just for reading in the space. We are based out of Brunswick, Naarm... inside a gallery known as ‘TCB’. We want to provide more for the community, and to push beyond a monetized transaction. The basis of our store is structurally capitalist, in that we take a commision off of the products which sell. Though we hope to do more than that. To push the boundaries of what a traditional retail space is. We want to create community through education, sharing and awareness. Our values are #care #education #authenticity and #intention. In this we want to try and be a bit more radical and holistic.
Our curation is rooted in curiosity and uniquenes. And mostly, we want people to leave not feeling drained but excited to make something, to read a new book, or maybe just with a new reference to do further independant research.

Irl store
- We are currently only open on weekends from 12-4. If you are visiting from out of state or can’t make it on the weekend, feel free to send us a dm and we can do an apt on a weekday!
- Sporadically, we are unable to open on a Saturday or Sunday, so it’s best that if you’re planning to visit to check out our story to see if we are open.
Online Store
- Orders will be shipped in 1-3 weeks from the day of purchase.
- In Australia you can choose for tracked or untracked (enevelope with stamps) for shipping.
- Outside of Australia orders are untracked (envelope with stamps), if you have a large order please email us and we can organise a quote for tracked shipping.
- If your order is lost, damaged or stolen we do not do refunds or replacements.
General
- We are always open to submissions for having your work on consignment or to publish your publication, just send us an email with all of the information!
