Decorative button making class

What 
In this workshop you will make decorative buttons out of wood clay. 
The buttons made in this class will be guided to be made with aesthetic purposes, not functional purposes. For example, the image above shows how the button functions similar to a broche or badge. You are welcome to make your button more of a functional shape in class. We just invite it to be for more decorative purposes so you can experiment with sculpting. We will be using an airdry wood clay in class. You will learn basic handbuilding clay techniques which can be replicated with other clays. This clay will not be fired like earthenware or stoneware clays. We will also not be painting the clay.

Disclaimer

- This workshop is ideal for someone who has never used clay before. Ofcoure if you have, you are still welcome to join this workshop! A lot of people join these workshops for motivation or for something fun to do with their friends. This is just a disclaimer that the skills being taught for clay will be like a basic introduction. 

- We will provide all materials and some snacks, so just bring yourself along!
